Tim Reynolds - Principal Tenor

Tenor Timothy Reynolds enjoys performing a broad range of styles as both a soloist and ensemble member, recently joining The Song Company as their principal tenor. As soloist he has appeared with some of Australia’s premier groups including Pinchgut Opera, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Victorian Opera, Royal Melbourne Philharmonic, Melbourne Chamber Orchestra and the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra. Specialising in early music, Timothy has worked with The Bach Akademie Australia, Ludovico’s Band and the Adelaide Baroque Orchestra, and frequently performs with St John’s Southgate Bach Cantata program.

With a strong interest in contemporary music, Timothy’s performances include Brett Dean’s The Last Days of Socrates and Elliot Carter’s What Next. Internationally, Timothy performed with the Gesualdo Consort Amsterdam, Bach Akademie Stuttgart and understudied a number of roles with Oper Stuttgart.

At home in Melbourne/Naarm, he is a principle and founding member of both The Consort of Melbourne and The Melbourne Octet, and is frequently seen as a concert and oratorio soloist.
