Robin Parkin - Principal Tenor

An experienced ensemble singer and pianist, Robin has worked with some of the country's pre-eminent vocal groups. He cut his teeth working for a number of years as a core member of the acclaimed Adelaide Chamber Singers under Carl Crossin OAM, with highlights including taking home the coveted “Choir of the World” Pavarotti trophy at Llangollen, Wales and the "Musica Sacra a Roma" prize in 2013. Since moving to Melbourne, he has performed with Polyphonic Voices and Vox Plexus, and forms part of five-voice jazz/folk a cappella outfit, Thursday's Child. He has performed back-up vocals for artists including the Hilltop Hoods and Patti LuPone.

In Adelaide, he co-conducted the Young Adelaide Voices male voice choir and Cantamus choir. As an accompanist, he has played for Conservatorium students, choirs, local productions and worked as a pianist and member of the artistic staff of Gondwana National Choral School. In 2015 he was recipient of the Geoffrey Parsons Award, Australia’s premier award for accompanying.
