Lucien Fischer - baritone
Lucien was born in Tasmania and started learning violin and piano simultaneously just after he’d turned four. He moved to Perth in 2005 and commenced formal singing lessons towards the end of high school, going on to study a Bachelor of Music (Vocal Performance) at the University of Western Australia. During his time in Perth, Lucien sang with the choirs of St George’s Cathedral and with the Giovanni Consort, whilst also performing in a solo capacity in oratorio performances and competitions. In 2013 he was appointed Artistic Director of the Giovanni Consort, and in 2014 was Musical Director of the Churchlands Choral Society.
Lucien relocated to Melbourne in 2015 and quickly found his choral music fix, appearing regularly with the Consort of Melbourne, Polyphonic Voices, and the Astra Choir, whilst also making guest appearances with the Adelaide Chamber Singers, the Choir of St James’ King Street, and The Australian Voices. He continues to perform regularly around his work at the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and the University of Melbourne.
